Problems with Beautiful Widget

I got the app from a torrent package and loaded it using ASTRO, when it loads the clock isn't flip down, all the digits are pressed together.. has anyone else had this problem? I like the stlye of the widget and would like to run it.. but can't with it FCing all the time and not looking right
 
my suggestion is that you pay for the app in the market. Notot only will that get you the most updated and stable version. You will also be supporting the devs. if you want something more like a flip clock the best thing on the market would be the paid version of weather widgets. good luck.
 
PUNKD! hahahaha next time you'll give the dev the buck and change that he's asking for.

His problem has nothing to do with this. The version those of us who paid for and backed up still works correctly (at least it did the last time I checked). His just plain old don't work right.

No, no... I say flame on! This forum doesn't support nor condones the download of pirated applications. Ever wonder why it's taking so long for Google to create an Apps2SD feature? It is precisely because of people like the OP, who won't pay $1.50 for an app. They're willing to steal the app instead. So, not only does that hurt the developer and dissuade developers from making quality apps, but it's also affecting us the consumer. I say this guy can go and rot with his pirated app.

Flame him. I cam here to help the guy...and explain that he should just email the dev. through the market link where he bought the app...then I read his post and it pissed me off. The dev. for Beautiful Widgets is one of the very the best app devs I have come across as far as updating his app and working with us and our problems with it. Stealing from them is just wrong. Please boot this guy.
 
Whoever said not to flame this guy is outta their mind. This guy deserves it, continue the flaming. What a dbag.
 
Wow...fair enough... I will buy the app.. and let my friend who told me to download it he's a pirate whore.. also I heard the app wasn't on the market anymore so that's the main reason I got the torrent.. guess they were wrong.. going to look for it now..

I bought it, but cannot get the HTC style clock, as noted before. Is there any way to get an older version?
 
Yes, it's the flip clock is the older version and isn't available any more. HTC told him to take it down and redesign it. If you want the flip clock, you gotta pay for Weather Widget.

Yes, there is "a way". But if I share that file with you (the same file that HTC ordered the dev to stop distributing), it would just be wrong.

And for what it's worth, even though I rightfully paid for the pre-C&D version, I use the updated version with the DROID font. If HTC doesn't want him distributing it, then I don't want it on my phone. I don't mean to sound like I always take the high road . . . but I really feel that the Android developers need our support. Some of them are turning out first-rate apps, and they don't get squat for it.

I also nixed the HTC version for what they did to the developer. I personally like the Android font. But yeah, these developers need to get paid if we want a richer Android experience. In the meantime, if you want the look, pick up Weather Widget. Doesn't get updated as often as BW, but it's the look.

+3 (thats right I'm a big guy so I get two).

HTC did allow him to use his old weather graphics in the latest version which was a nice benny.

Which weather widget has the same flip clock? The one buy the french guy?

what's the problem with keeping the old one? you already paid for it. he's not getting any more money from you because you are using the most current version.

I don't have an issue with me keeping it. The truth is, I do have it archive. I just have a problem with sending it off to someone else.
