Root Problems with cynogenmod install.

Hi,
problem is that my pc doesnt recognise the device. When i launch open swift install it says (waiting for device), ive tried everything. Tried to update drivers but it say that all is up to date !!! Maybe a have done something wrong in process, maybe a should put Rom and root my phone all over again and then try to install cynogen.

I would have suspected the drivers first.

But make sure the simple stuff like USB debugging being enabled, etc.

Also, I noticed that a few times rooting I've seen issues like that and just rebooted both PC and device which remedied things.

But again, once in a while the drivers do need reinstall.

What version of Windows are you using? Also, is the phone in fastboot mode? Put it in fastboot mode by holding the camera button while turning on the phone; keep holding the camera button even when the LG logo is appearing. The LG logo will stay on the screen for a few seconds then the phone will display a blank screen. It is now in fastboot mode, connect the phone to the computer and it should work.

Windows 7 tends to work best with the update, Windows XP and Vista aren't the best.. If you can get to a Windows 7 PC for 10 mins then use it to update the phone.
