Root problems with das bamf 1.8

previously was running 1.6.3

I finally got sick of the gps lock problem so I decided to upgrade. I wiped and installed 1.8 and had 2 problems

the phone symbol,to bring up the dialer, had the the word phone next to it(so both the phone symbol and the word phone were there). obviously that wasn't right, and along with that I only got 1x service

I did battery pulls. wiped and re-installed.

I even wiped and tried 1.7 to see if it would fix it. It ended up having the exact same problems.

well then I decided to just revert back to my 1.6.3 backup, and now it is stuck in 1x also.


what do I need to do here guys?


edit: ok, well after 2 hours from re loading my backup on 1.6 I finally got 3g back. still though, I would like to run 1.8 so I don't have to deal with this gps lock stuff

Did you flash DB 1.8.6? This is an MR2/MR2.5 rom so you need to flash one of the MR2 radios for DB 1.8.6 to work.

I only got 1x service

If the problem was that he didnt flash the correct radio i belive he would have had no service at all, but he still had 1x

Did you check the md5sum before flashing?

Yes I did.

Since that wasn't working I took the plunge and flashed mr2 and sense 3. Everything is perfect. No funky buttons and the gps works perfect
