Help Problems with Daylight Savings Time

I live in the central time zone. This morning I woke up and my phone decided to adjust for daylight savings time by 2 hours instead of 1.

I checked the time and date settings to find that the date settings were checked to "automatic". Somehow the phone decided I was in the Mountain time zone instead of central.

Any idea why/how that would happen? If I uncheck the automatic, and manually change my time zone it works fine.

Most likely just a glitch somewhere nothing to worry about.
 
Same thing happened to me (central to mountain time zone). It is a big deal. My alarm didn't go off this morning at 7:30 a.m. because my phone thought it was 6:30 a.m. — which, of course, it was in Denver, but I wasn't in Denver. I can set it manually, but then when I travel it won't change. So the question is, how do I fix it.
 
Someone suggested turning it off. Did that twice and it didn't correct itself. Then I took it into a room I knew was a dead zone. Turned it off, turned it on, let it search for service on the way back and it fixed itself finally.

Exact thing happened to me this morning! Live in Central time, phone suddenly thinks I'm in Mountain time today and is off by an hour unless I turn off automatic time now. Way to fail Sprint.
 
Me too! I am in EST and my phone thinks I am in CST. When I got up it was 2 hours earlier instead of 1. I kept playing with it and finally got it right.
 
The same *exact* issue happened to me!

Last night my phone reflected the correct time, so I set my alarm and went to sleep. The only way I realized that my phone was not reflecting the correct time this morning was when I received a call and the time stamped on the call said one thing; then upon unloking the phone the clock magically sprang forward.

(The call btw, was my boss telling me that I was late for work! Don't know about the other postee, but you bet I'm heated!!!)

What's really bothering me of this whole situation is that there were no warnings this could happen to Android, even though the DST glitch for iOS phones has been made apparent. :\
 
Same here... I had to switch it to set Central Time manually... if I change it back to auto it switches to mountain time on it's own. Who knows. Setting it to central seems to work anyways.
 
Exact thing happened to me too. I'm in Central time zone. Had to manually change it. I tried throughout the day to change it back to automatic, but no luck.
 
LOL at people for being late to work because of glitch and blamin phone
