Problems with K-9 email client

I am running the K-9 email client on my HTC Droid Incredible and have it set up to use my work Exchange server account.

The app will auth and send email just fine, but it will not download new mail. When I go to Folders, it shows "Error 404 when" in the inbox folder.

Help?!

Ok, weird. I changed the settings and chnged tehm back and it worked.... once. Then I waited hours and still no synch. Even synching manually retrieved no email. Tried settings swapping again and got same results... one success and then nada.

Eventually just deleted the exchange account and added it back as POP3. Works like a charm now.

Exchange mode in K9 just doesn't friggin work!

I have tried K9 a buncha times now. Recently I discovered K9 doesn't play well with Exchange Server 2007.

Yup, that's what we are using... Exchange Server 2007. <sigh>

Unfortunately, while the POP3 works great for downloading the emails, it is marking them as having been read on my desktop (outlook).

Well, that sux. But I can relate.

I *do* have full email sync already on the stock email app, and calendar sync with Googlecalendar sync tool. I even figured out how to get my exchange contacts into the cloud.

All I wanted was a unique signature for each email account, something that K9 *can* do.

But oh, well.
