Help Problems With Messaging Apps

Hit my 30 days with the Fascinate today. I started to notice a couple weeks ago that I was getting double text messages (not double notifications), and that I wasn't always receiving MMS messages...probably missed 90% of them.

I went to my Verizon store, they couldn't figure out the problem, so they replaced my phone under the 30 day worry free period. Lo and behold, the same thing happened with the new phone also. So I deleted Handcent and tested it with the stock messaging app and everything seemed to work fine.

I then tried Chomp, same thing. Double texts and no MMS. Did some reading and found out about GO SMS. Installed it, and had no double texts but wasn't getting my MMS. So I uninstalled it and now am running the stock messaging app again.

I dislike this because of the lack of customizing it. I need a bigger font these days, and I really liked knowing who was texting me....in my job, I can't always get the phone quick....if I know it's the hubby, I can ignore it longer ;)

Is ANYONE else out there having this trouble? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it????? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Well, half of my theory has been blown out of the water. A friend sent me an MMS this evening, and I didn't receive it, on the stock app. So I guess I'm back to square one on that issue. Someone PLEASE help me.

I wish I had the answer too. I also have been plagued with not receiving all MMS messages. I am down to using GO SMS, they say to make sure your stock message app has MMS Auto Retrieve selected, which I do, but I still get lost MMS messages. People get mine, I just don't get all that come to me :(
 
And honestly, it's ridiculous. I was on the phone with Verizon's tech support today, and don't you know, every one that was sent to me came through....but last night, I was sitting right next to my friend when he sent one, and I never got it.

-didn't see this post prev, but no new responses or solutions. I got my phone from Best Buy and am going back there for the 3rd time tomorrow to replace my phone with another. I think I've done all I can with this one; now just have worry about getting my screen protector replaced-how much of an argument do you think I'll have to do? HA HA HA
 
Your right, I could.... but I shouldn't have to. ;)

Was suggested I try doing a few factory resets to alleviate the prob. So I guess I'll do that a couple times first.
 
I did 2 more resets and it seems to have worked!! Have been able to send pictures, short vids and they go through w/i 20 secnds. Although, I did experience a period today where it took almost an hr for 2 pics to go through, but over the last 2 days w/extensive pic\vid sending I'd say that 90% have gone through quickly apposed to the previous 90% FAIL rate.

Oh well. I'm happy and now moving on......
