Help Problems with phonejack - Please help

Hi Guys,

Just having an issue with the ear phone jack. My Desire HD is saying that they are plugged in however they are not.

This means I cannot make or receive calls without actually plugging in the ear phones.

Has anyone else come across this I have a feeling it could be a software issue. Any ideas?
