Problems with SD card on Sprint Hero

Before, i used to plug my phone into my laptop, and i'd get an option on using my phone for "charge only, mount usb.. etc"..

Now, when i plug in my phone, no options come up, and I can't access my SD card from my laptop to back up everything so I can root it. Can anyone help?

If you look in the notification area, you should be able to pull down and choose it from there.
