Help Problems with SMS.

Would appreciate some assistance. My stock SMS has stopped working. I downloaded GO and Hand, they both look ok but I can't get either to notify me when a text comes in. No sound no icon, notification settings are fine. Tried with the stock application both enabled and disabled. Confused!
 
Mobile data is on. I tried GO SMS Pro mate and it looks sound. Just can't get the notifications to work, icon or sound.
