Help Problems with Stitcher application

exmeaguy

Newbie
I just received the TBolt tonight and I have been loading applications that I had on my DInc.

Every time I run Stitcher, it starts to load the topics, and then I receive a generic error message saying the app has stopped unexpectedly.

Anyone else having Stitcher problems on the TBolt?

Congrats on the Tbolt! got mine on the 17th. fortunately I haven't had any problems using stitcher and found it quite useful. have you tried clearing defaults or caches in the applications manager setting?

The first thing I tried was to clear all data and that did not work. I then did a complete re-install and that did not work. I am out of ideas. I don't even have time to check the settings because the app crashes so fast.

The problems I was having were all tied to 4g. Once I turned 4g off it worked immediately. I will stay in 3g until Verizon gets their 4g network ready for prime time, and yes I am in a coverage area.

I had been doing fine until the last Stitcher update (I think that may have something to do with it). Now... 8/10 times, when I exit Stitcher - it shows the "Thank you for using Sticher" text and then the phone freezes and I have to do a battery pull.

Last night I loaded the new MR2 update for the TBolt and the problem is still happening. I could really use some advise because I had been using Stitcher every day for a few years now!

I also use it daily and I have not had any problems once they upgraded their app to be compatible with 4g. I have not installed MR2.

You can do the usual troubleshooting measures by clearing cache for Stitcher and see if that corrects the problem. Next step could be to clear data. Beyond that, you can try a re-install.

Locks up - phone gets hot - have to pull battery to restart. Has happend on 2 different Thunderbolts, 3g-4g doesn't matter. Perfect reception or marginal.

I've found that it helps to restart the phone prior to using Stitcher and to connect any bluetooth device prior to starting Stitcher. Forget changing BT devices.

Still, if someone calls while I'm on Stitcher there's a 50-50 chance the TB will freeze, I will lose the call AND Stitcher.

Had to stop using the application. Would freeze up the phone several times a day and I would have to do a battery pull each time. It practically made the phone unusable. I guess i'm glad I wasn't the only one
