Problems with text notifications

Hello I am so excited about my phone as I am a new user (purchased yesterday) I am been adding apps and attempting to get set up all day. I must say I am impressed thus far but feeling lost as this is the most eleborate phone I have ever owned. I have been reading post on this site for hours and even called verizon. I think I have been successful with making handscent my default message app and I am not getting double notifications; however, I would really like to do something about text message content being viewed in the notifications menu. Please help

Welcome to the Android Forums! I'm not sure about what your asking. It shows you have a message in your notification bar, when you press it, it takes you to handcent right?

When in doubt, go into the app. and then press the menu button. You'll see options for configuration in each app. Hope this helps!
