Root Problems with wifi tether app

I am having problems connecting my asus Transformer Pad TF300T to my HTCEVOV. I tried to use all generic modes. I tried to connect with my 3DS and it worked maybe its just my tablet. I really need some help. I really do not need to pay $15 dollars for my hotspot to work.

Also if I put this in the wrong board please fix it.

You do not mention what ROM you are using, therefore do not know which wifi tehter you are using.

Is it the one with the yellow wifi icon?

If so, Keep the Device Profile as Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
Also, enable the routing fix, and possibly access control...

If you still can't connect, then it's something else, but I'm pretty sure that's what is suggested for settings.

Yes. I tried everything motioned above. I even tried with no security and still no luck.

I don't think stock supports it but try this

(Disable Wifi)
Uninstall the app
Clear the app data
Enable the Routing Fix
Use WLan0 Profile
Activate.

If this doesn't work your rom or kernel may not support it

on the lastest version of wifi tether ver3.3 beta2 you need to have wifi-driver reload 1 checked and leave wifi-driver reload 2 unchecked

Also for anyone having trouble keeping tethering working for longer than like 15 mins make sure that connection optimizer is turned off.
