Help Process com.motorola.contacts force close

I did a search and found a fix and I cant make calls but i can send text messages. Has anyone else encountered this?

need more info.. are you rooted ? did you freeze or delete any system files ?

I am having the same problem, everyone in my family has the same phone, my husbands phone and mine are doing the force close when we use the contacts...I am not phone savvy, fairly computer savvy, so i dont know what rooted is or anything we do the simple updates on the apps that ask, and dont mess with any folders.. I have android 2.3.5 I dont really want to lose the stuff on my phone, the phone didnt freeze up, just not sure how to fix this...

well I fixed it... it was hotmail, it required the upgrade to outlook and then I uninstalled hotmail.. BOOM fixed!
