i need to back up all my stuff, but after i back up my vids, pics, contacts and apps what do i do next? factory reset? probly not, so how do i delete what ever i need to delete? im confused.

just simply: what is the process for reseting my phone after i have backed up all my stuff

what hapens if i reset my phone? will it delete the stuff in my sd card where all my stuff are backed up?

im doing all of tthis ecus my phone keeps rebooting itself, and sometimes freezes during reboots. it happens randomly...

Resetting your phone should not delete data from the sd card, but it's always prudent to copy the files to a PC first.
I am moving this to the Desire section so other Desire users see it and can help you out.

Just plug your phone into your PC and copy the entire contents of your sd card to a folder on the pc. Your vids should be in there. Make sure you get the hidden folders, too.

menu-settings-sd and phone storage-factory reset.

And fyi, MyBackup doesnt technically back up your apps unless you are rooted. It will backup a "list" of the apps. But it will not backup app data, like game saves and such.

hhmmm.. k thanks...so what good is this "list" for?

Not much really, it just lists the apps you've downloaded, you'll have to download them to your phone again when you put all your stuff back on it

oh wtf...but the size of the apps backed up on my sd card are the same size as the apps themselves
