HTC Hero 2.1
Is it possible to stream video directly from an android phone to a projector.
I am using the jetFlicks app and it is amazing but would be even better to be
able to project it with my 3m mpro 120 projector.
Has anyone been able to do this? If I have to update my phone to do this then
I will (in 3 months when contract is up).

PS: I have been able to stream from my ZuneHD to the projector and if anyone needs instructions let me know.

Why would you need to, the majority of projectors have a vga input so you can view your files from your computer?

Yes, it works well with the laptop, but I'd like to connect it to the htc hero to watch movies or stream videos. I think some of the newer android phones have tv-out, which may work for a projector.
I just haven't heard anyone confirming it.

I believe the LG Optimus x2 has a mini hdmi cable that will allow it so yes you can. If you were thinking app wise how would you connect to the projector?

I don't think the hero can. It is a feature that I really want. I am considering a new phone

No, it cant! I have both and the only way for me to view my hero files is through computer and then onto projector

AFAIK the mini USB Port on the Hero does not have a video out connection. If that is the case then the answer to the OP's original question is clearly "no".
