Root [PROOF] CWM is being worked on

Today working with Richard and Shabbypenguin, we have gotten to the following

as of right now it looks like this due to graphics.c component of cwm not hasn't been tailored to our phone yet, but yea CWM is very close.

Great work guys! Thanks for pushing the dev for this device forward, and opening up more doors for the development community of the connect :)

After this is finished I'm sure we will start seeing custom kernels popping up here and there :) i hope
 
now for as it stands, as you can see teh colors are off, plus the whole split in 4 bit.. gunna try to work on fixing that today, then its just a matter of getting teh right partitions to the right spots, hopefully i can find some info on where the lun file for usb mass storage is. once it flashes properly and displays correctly then ill make a public release but for now its just to risky being able to break your device

I was thinking after this is completed. And all the partition blocks are figured out, Maybe I will contact the developer of "rom factory" and see if he can add support for the connect. Rom factory, for all that don't know about it. Its an app that can create a fully cwm flashable rom from the current state of your phone :)

I like this idea. Although I think I'm going to try to contact the makers of Liberty and see if they are interested in this platform...

mos def man i would love to see k0nane get in on this i followed his work on the indulge and loved every bit of it esp the part were he helped keep my phones battery alive longer :D
