Proper way to update to Super D 1.11?

I have 1.10.3 and I want to update to 1.11 but I'm a little worried doing something wrong. So what's the correct way to do an update? I don't have much knowledge about rooting and such, I followed the unlcker method which worked fine. Thanks in advance!

Download the ROM and put it in the root of your sdcard.

Backup your apps if you don't want to have to reinstall them.

Boot to recovery and do a Nandroid backup.

After Nandroid, you can either wipe Data/Cache/Ext for the safest install, then "Flash Zip from SD", or skip the wipe and just flash. Not wiping may or may not cause minor problems; it's not always necessary but still the safest way to flash a new ROM.

Reboot and be patient; fresh installs take a little while to load the first time.

to add to this, install the defanged or you will miss out on official gapps.

defanged has all the google apps. Since this rom is legal they were not included in the rom. To install them, flash them just like any rom, but flash them before the rom

So it had google maps and search? I dont use those will it hurt if i leave it out? This would be my first rom ive installed, so im trying to learn all the flash lingo

10.3 already required the defanged base, so you probably already have it. If you have the Market, you have defanged.

Oh jeez, you're not the OP. lol Yeah, you'll need the defanged base, too, for SuperD or the stable CM.

How are you getting a phone with only 1.5 on it?

Not your fault, I wasn't paying enough attention.

You have to have 1.5 to root, yes; but since the phone comes with 1.6 we all had to downgrade to 1.5. I just thought you'd gotten lucky and were going to be saved a step.
