Pros/Cons of having 2 launchers

Hello everyone. I just got a droid x a few days ago, and i've just been playing around with it these past few days. I come from a droid 1 so I'm familiar somewhat with android, but not with any of the tech details.

I've got 2 launchers installed right now, and I'm trying to decide between the 2. Launcher Pro & Go Launcher Ex. I think if I had to choose, it'd be the Go Launcher.

I was wondering if there were any negatives to having 2 launchers installed instead of just one? Or are there any pros? Does it drain more battery life to have 2? I like being able to customize Icons on both.

Any thoughts/recommendations/advice for a newbie? Thanks in advance!

if you have and widgets that are always updating on any of the home screens they can drain battery. also make sure you go into the stock home screens and get rid of all the widgets that show up from stock.

anybody correct me if i am wrong please.

As stated, any Widgets or live wallpapers running on the other homescreens will not only eat battery life, but they will use processor time, so your phone will appear quite laggy.

Homescreens all run at the same time, just one is displayed at a time. Even having many installed will still chew up some extra memory.
