Proximity Sensor app

I just installed it tonight. I have tested it on several calls now. The app is useful and works as advertised. I didn't have a huge problem with hanging up calls with my cheek, but it was a minor nuisance. Now it's not even a concern.

What does it do?
It turns your screen off without locking it. I had it for a while before I realized there are settings. You adjust how dim you want it to go. Then when you take your face away from the phone the screen comes back on. Otherswise without it the screen just times out per your settings. TC

Doesn't the screen turn off after a few seconds anyway when making a call? I am pretty sure mine does. I know when I get a call waiting call, I have to wait a couple of seconds for the screen to come back on to see who is calling.

It times out as you have it set in your settings from 15 second to never. TC

I'm happy with the screen locking itself after however many seconds of a call, i don't hold the phone to my cheek anyways. I have 5/8" glass earrings in my ears and that's pretty much the only thing touching the screen. It's alot better than my instinct was, since the instinct was pressure sense or whatever my earrings would mute the phone alot, irritating!
