Help Proximity sensor

Anyone have there screen come on momentarily during a call? Mine has just a couple times,....I have the verizon screen protector on it, it goes up to and covers the proximity sensor. Although crystal clear, I wonder if it changes it's sensitivity at all.

Maybe its my imagination, but I think the rotation of the phone has something to do it. It came on as I rotated to a more vertical position, off when at a 45deg angle as to line up with ear and mouth.

I've noticed this as well. I just have to rotate the phone a little bit and it goes back off.

Its definitely annoying and I'm afraid I'll press buttons with my face. This never happened with my D1.

The VZW anti-glare protector is crystal clear? They must have changed their CRAPY AG protectors.

I'm experiencing the same thing...I'm not sure what the catalyst is...seems when I adjust the position of the phone to align the speaker better w/ my ear (and it never moves OFF my head), the screen comes on and inevitably I either put the phone on speaker or mute. Happens on about 50% of my calls...is there a fix for this out there? A way to recalibrate the Proximity Sensor?

I have hung up on numerous calls... I believe the proximity sensor is on the left side of the screen so holding the phone between your right shoulder and ear can cause the phone to turn enough that the sensor sees light and turns the screen on during a call.

Can anyone confirm where the proximity sensor is...exactly? I have the Seidio screen protector and it has a little cutout, which I just found out is for the proximity sensor. Right now I guess I have it on upside down cause I have the cutout on the bottom. But I might as well get it right. Not that it matters the screen protector doesn't seem to have effected it at all. I am changing to the Boxwave protectors because I dont really like the Seidio protectors. I had the Boxwave's for my Blackberry and they were great. So I am hoping these will be too. Dont know if they have the cutout too but I dont think it matters. So for my own edification, where is the sensor? anyone?

NEVERMIND! I found it. Its inside the Verizon "V" a little left of center. You can see it with a flashlight.

Screen Suite will solve the problem of you screen coming on and you face dialing/hanging up. Locks down your screen while on a call.

Proximity sensors are weird like that, on most all devices. It was the same with the OG Droid. If you have long hair it will also effect the sensor and sometimes wake the device while on a call.
