PS1 Emulator Thread

Considering it's illegal to post a link to a BIOS file, that's why we tell people to google it.

Not wanting to hijack the thread, nor make a monster issue of it, i'll just say this: I read it one way. maybe i got it wrong. but it seemed as though there was a certain amount of attitude within the thread. not just in 1 post. sorry if i misunderstood or anything.

i cant find the emulator anywhere...i tried downloading it on the market..got stuck in the screen about authorization ...they sent me a link to the slideme site...nowhere on there do i see the
file where you can download it....is there anywhere else i should be looking...."use google is not a good response here'...i have :)

Just search "playstation" in the marketplace, you should see it.

yes i found it in the market..but that is not working..just sits in the authorization part. Does nothing..never downloads...my question is there somewhere else online ppl have found in order to download it.

Sorry, I read your post earlier, I guess my mind just lapsed when I decided to respond lol.

Did you try the slideme page someone above linked to?

https://slideme.org/application/psx4droid

*EDIT

Ok, well I found a solution. It may not be the most legal way to do it though.

Go to getandroidstuff.com It's on the main page. It'll link you to the apk file to install on your phone. However, I am going to purchase it eventually when they get things sorted out in the marketplace because I want to be able to update the app. You can't update an app that you've "acquired" from the internet that's why. If I'm not supposed to post this then I'll remove it.

Works:

Twisted Metal 2 (have to adjust controls to ignore lack of L2,R2),
Die Hard Trilogy,
Gran Turismo 2 (little slow down)

Does not work (could be the ROM's I downloaded)
Tony Hawk 3 (runs but colors don't show and screen looks weird)
Knockout Kings 2001 (EA comes on and it freezes)
Tekkan 3 (doesn't even start up)

FF7 works for the most part, just a slight lag. Frame skip mode would be great.
FF8 is almost unplayable in the world map. Too laggy. Around 2-3fps at best.

*I do have the netarchy 50+fps kernel

For those of you still having trouble downloading the psx4droid:
Go to https://slideme.org/

On the right of the screen, clock on Download SAM v3.5 (This is an app management app, much like Appbrain, and will let you sync to slideme's server)

After you download SAM v3.5, install the package, and run the app.
Back to the slideme.org website, register for an account, and set up a payment method. Looks pretty secure, as far as I can tell.

If/When you set up a credit/debit card, to verify, they'll charge you a small verification amount like $0.53. You'll have to verify your credit card, by reporting how much the amount was by checking your bank's online statement. You'll then be verified.

After this, on your phone's SAM v3.5 app, log-in with your username you've created (one you set up your payment method with) then go find psx4droid app and purchase and download.

From the SlideMEteam:
"If you have successfully made the purchase and your transaction status is 'Completed' you can update to later versions of an app free of charge.
Update version notifications will be available in next major release of SAM expected in a few weeks."
