Has anyone had an email urge you to change your password?
The wife did so of course I told her not to follow any link.
Is it legit and should she log in on her browser to change it?

Yes is is legit. There was a major hack that was involved just recent

Never follow ANY link from ANY email asking for you to verify or change your information. Always, always ALWAYS use your browser to go to the known url and modify your settings from there. In other words, in this case, simply go to Electronics, Cars, Fashion, Collectibles, Coupons and More | eBay to sign in and make any changes. I can see TONS of people being taken advantage of during this 'well known' requirement for password change as people seem clueless to how these sort of things happen.
