Pure calendar widget [official topic]

Sorry but 4 rows mode is not an official mode and won't be supported.
It's already VERY difficult to handle all Android OS, screen resolutions, and widgets sizes...
 
If only android would offer some scaling for more than four rows and columns. so much wasted space on the 480 screens now.
 
Little problem. I get a blank widget when going bck to the home screen. I go into the settings and re-save and them it takes about 20 seconds to show back up. This started with the update today on my evo.

NVM...forgot to enable callable widgets AL. Duh.
 
my pure calendar widget displaying my works touchdown calendar goes blank. If i access touchdown then return back to the widget it will display however after about 10 seconds the appointments will disappear. In fact this happens with my gmail pure calendar widget, appears to be a bug in this version. I have scrollable selected, am using a non rooted Motorola Milestone stock v2.1, launcher pro 0.6.3 and the latest versions of pure messenger and calendar.
 
You did enable scrollable widgets I'm the settings of Advanced Launcher? That was my problem. Checked it off in the widget setup but forgot to check it off in the launcher settings. Two places to check it off, launcher and widget.

yes i did, my pure messenger widgets work fine.
 
I'm getting some strange behaviors with Pure calendar widget and Launcher Pro, sometimes if i go to change my calendar widget settings it will exit out of the widget settings and restart launcher pro before Ive had chance to change anything!
 
ive removed pure calendar from my home screens for the time being, and everything seems to be performing perfectly, let me know if there is anything i can do to assist in further bug testing as this is a great app and would love to get it back pulling my google calendar and also my touchdown calendar via pure calendar widgets
 
@jphccfc : I was out during last days, what is the problem exactly ? I don't have any problem with TouchDown and last Pure calendar version.
 
It seems to be with both touchdown and the gmail calendar and its intermittent, what happens is sometimes when I switch on the phone and select the screen where the pure calendar widget is it displays no data - I do a refresh then it comes back! This is using the latest version of Launcher Pro.
 
I can confirm my gmail calendar also sometimes goes missing using Launcher Pro too. I've not tried it using ADW Launcher, or any other launcher for that matter. I might switch to ADW for a few days to see if Launcher Pro is causing another problem I'm having with my phone, if I do, I'll try out Pure Calendar on there.

Are you having launcher pro restarting issues too?

any news with ADW ?
I am running it since this morning, and no issue yet...
 
When I first opened Pure, I got a help screen which I read and promptly forgot.. it may hold the answer to my query, and being able to view it in the configuration screen would be handy.

The real problem/question: When I tap the widget, I just get the stock calendar screen. Out would be glorious if I could instead get individual events, but I'd also be happy if I just had the option to go to astrid, and if the calendar opened to the day I tapped rather than the current date.

Hi, just re-read the information panel ;)
You'll be ableto learn how to open the 'daily viewer' which allow specific event/task edition.
You can get this page by tapping the Pure calendar launcher icon.

Ah, thanks--definitely a case of fat finger syndrome. I'd still love to be able to tap directly on the individual agenda items rather than going through the daily viewer, though.

First off, congratulations on the latest release of Calendar - the best keeps on getting better! :D

So, now to the question: When exporting settings is there any way you can allow the user to choose name name or use a date string or something? I've multiple exported files for my various widgets but I've now lost track which export is which (granted the suffix identifies the Widget type).

Hi and thanks for the awesome calendar widget! I've been using Pure Grid Calendar for a couple of weeks now and am very impressed. Unfortunately, since the most recent update, I have lost the scrolling function while using ADW Launcher. I was getting the empty calendar with no grid until I turned off the scrolling function. It was scrolling fine with ADW before the most recent update. I think I may have downloaded an update for ADW around the same time, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Have you had anyone else with this problem?

Is anyone else having problems editing existing events since the Froyo update?

There's a number of threads out there on AF.com which discuss the need to long-press in the Day view to get the "Edit Event" option. This works for me using the stock Calendar app, but not when using the Pure Grid Calendar widget.

I've been in touch with Francois, but he can't duplicate the problem on his N1. I'm using an Incredible, and I suspect the problem may be related to HTC Sense.

Is anyone else out there having this problem? If so, have you found any other workaround besides using the stock app to edit events?
