Thank you so much for your quick reply! I had already done what you suggested and edited the buttons on my own. Now the only issue is that pesky SMS icon - it's the only color on my lovely monochrome homescreen! If I could just switch that to white, life would be perfect.

Personnaly, I prefer colorize icons
But you can use the suggestion module, and if many users aree with you, I'll do my best to do something which can fit both (color AND b&W).

Hi, I've just installed this widget and love it!

Only small thing is when I get an sms message I get a notification in the status bar from android (default one) then I get another one from the widget. Can I remove the widget one and just have the default android one?

Also, in list view when I press the star button and select "new sms" nothing happens. It works fine if I have a message in there, but I only use the widget to view unread messages.

Hi Knoxx, I read your suggestions to remove notifications but i'm still having issues. I have notifications off in Pure Messenger, however, I'm still getting notifications for every new post on my news feed in Facebook. Is there a way to disable these notifications completely?

So far, I'm really digging this app. The notifications are the only troublesome thing I've found thus far.

LOVE Pure Messenger!! That said; been having a lot of issues with ADW EX and anderwebs (dev of ADW EX) suggested that it was being caused by messenger after looking at the logs ( logcat here ) -- uninstalled messenger and now everything works great. Any ideas on how I can change my configuration to not cause conflict? or? THANKS!!

Did you manage to fix this ?
There is no know bug about notifications, unless you have hidden active widgets (and in that case, the 'kill old widget' does the job).

If I was say in SMS and I hit home key, it took an honest 20 seconds, where the screen was black, and nothing happened, then I would end up on my ADW home screen. Same applied to most apps, but not all. If I kept hitting home it would have no affect. Didn't happen ALL the time but most. Ever since I removed messenger I have zero problems. I'd like to keep using messenger but if it's this finicky it simply gets annoying. If you'd like a longer logcat I can capture another and replicate the problem a few times over....

After a deeper analysis of your logcat, it seems the SMS app is constanly warning Pure messenger of new message arrival... that's weird, and it should be the case.
Unfortunatly, you didn't use the good too to take the logcat (no timestamp of each trace)... It's difficult to know the timelaps between each request ... but unless you are receiving SMS every ~30 seconds, it seems weird.
Are you using any SMS app or SMS timestamp fix tool ?

EDIT : I counted 6 refresh request from the SMS app in 6 seconds ! I seems there is a problem with your SMS database... Just disable SMS from Pure messenger, and I am almost sure everything will be fine. If this is the case, it means you'll need to cleanup your SMS app/database.

I saw that someone earlier had a problem with their SMS messages showing an incorrect timestamp. You suggested that they install a timestamp corrector. I've got the same problem, but my messages all have the correct timestamp on the stock app. So is this a problem with my phone (droidx) or the widget?

Yes, I saw that ... it seems Motorola fixed their own app display only instead of fixing the SMS database. It's stupid because all other apps accessing the SMS database still have the issue.
I think I'll add a fix myself to Pure messenger soon.

Are there any plans to allow email Reply To All directly from the widget? I remember someone mentioning it several months ago but obviously the app still does not support it - a pretty major gap these days I'm afraid.

And yes, I am developping a connector hack for the stock email client... but it will require to be root in most case.

Motorola Defy. If I uncheck the "open with internal viewer" option, upon trying to open an sms i get "the application Pure messenger widget(process org.koxx.pure_messenger) has stopped unexepectedly. Please try again later"

Well then if it does, what should I do to get my hotmail account mails into the widget? I have the account already defined in stock "accounts" application of the phone.

In Pure Messenger, when I tap the SMS, it takes me to the conversation in Handcent with the correct background, but completely blank (no bubble messages to or from contact) when I know that there are 12 entries in that conversation (which can be accessed from Handcent Inbox). Also, I've been getting lots of FC's - I guess that could be for a multitude of reasons, but it's always Pure Messenger that comes up as the app to be FC'd. Any feedback would be super helpful.
