ok so i got the droid bionic and i came from a blackberry. i need email push. the lady at the store said the bionic has it. i am not new to android or phones in general. both my mail accounts for private and work are pop3. they are set up correctly. the issue is the data push states this type of email does not support data push. why not? i had it set up for my bb with the same emails.

Try downloading touchdown. It's an email client that has worked great for my corporate push email. There is a small cost, but they have a trial so you can see if it works for you.

I don't think anything supports push for POP accounts; isn't it strictly a polling interface?

Maybe your BB was actually setup using IMAP? If so, check out the widely used K-9 Mail supporting push IMAP.
