Help Push With Multiple E-mails

My understanding is it mainly depends on the specific e-mail account and server set-up.
i.e.
MS exchange e-mails servers can do push if properly set-up
IMAP accounts can IF set-up to do so server-side
Basically, it boils down to who your e-mail provider is and how they have your account set-up.
I have webmail, yahoo. gmail x four and another.
Currently I have all of them forwarded to one gmail account where I can get push mail, so that I effectively have push mail for all now, but would like it to be individual, like on the iPhone. That way I can get instant notification on all mail, since it is important to me to be timely and respond from the correct email address.
I have read a little about apps like email exchange and am not sure 1) if I need it, 2) if it works effectively.

AFAIK, yahoo, while supporting IMAP does not support "push"
to be clear about what I said 99% of the the limiting factor is the SERVER/server set-up, not the phone or client.
Doesn't matter whether its iphone/android or which e-mail app you use (as long as the app supports push which most if not all do)
