Help putting back to factory settings

basicaly i am tryig to put my fone back to factory settings, but when i do it using the volume and going through my settings it doesnt work, it switches my fone off and starts it up again, asking all the questions when i first set up my fone, but then when it gets me back on my fone everything is still there ! why is this ??

Have you got Google backing up all of your stuff? It may be reloading when you re-enter your login details.

So you successfully wiped the phone, then by signing in you're letting Google restore some personal settings. Suffice to say you won't be signing into the phone if you sell it
