Puzzle Piece with non original texting program?

Is it possible to enable the puzzle piece functionality for 3rd party applications? Specifically, I am using handcent sms, and love the functionality of the puzzle piece, but not enough to go back to the stock sms app. Thanks in advance for your help!

Not that I'm aware of. Nice thing about Handcent though, it will give on-screen notifications, even turn on the screen when you get one, which the stock one doesn't do. It even has repeating notifications.
