I installed App2sd because I was having widgets problems, I read somewhere that apps that need root access should be in internal storage aswell. Since then every time I connect my phone to usb it reboots then and half of my apps dont show up in the app list. Please help

Is there a way to move internal storage apps to sd?

Hmm I am having the same, problem, just recently installed App2sd and moved Chompsms via App2sd today.....thinking that may be it....will report my results back asap.

Yes that appears to have been the issue. I moved chomp back to the phone, connected the phone into usb mass storage, had the same issue. However after the next time I connected the phone was fine. Interesting find.....

I was able to resolve this issue by moving my apps to back to my phone from my SD card. If you are still having this problem (and have nothing running from the card), I would suggest you take this step to rule out open handles to files on the card:

a) Shut phone down > Pull SD card > Boot phone back up > plug into computer.

b) Terminate ALL apps using an app killer, then plug into the computer.

This will help you determine if something has an open handle to a file on the SD card. I believe it is a kernel panic of sorts that was causing my 'insta-boot.'

hey all i had this rebooting issue as well i did a factory reset .. im not exactly sure what that does .. but it allowed me to keep my root access .. no more reboot issues

Hey yall, I just wanted to inform you of a solution I found to the problem. I read somewhere that if you have apps that require root access on your SD card, that these frequent reboots will happen so what I did was move all of my "root" apps back to internal memory and... VOILA! no more reboots (at least for now). All I've checked is the USB issue. I haven't really checked the charging issue yet. But I will get back to yall if and when I do...

It's not just apps that require root access.

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > On SD Card. Move any that are using the SD card to the internal phone storage. That will fix the reboot problem.

Some apps install to SD by default, you don't have to have moved them there.
