So does the Motorola have a msm8655 snapdragon chipset? I could've sworn that thats what it has but when I look online they say it has a msm8655 chipset (msm8x55). What is the answer?

there not the same I did a bit more research... The msm7x30 is clocked at 800mhz while the msm8x55 is clocked at 1ghz... Here's where I found this info...

I believe you wrote your original question incorrectly. I think you were trying to ask if the Triumph is a msm7x30 or msm8x50 SoC type. However, the link you posted answered your question:

MSM7x30, MSM8x55 and QSD8x50A - all 3 variations share the same design, differs only by the clock speeds. These 3 variations run at 800MHz, 1.0GHz and 1.3GHz respectively. Each of these features Adreno 205 GPU which runs at significantly higher performance level than Adreno 200 found in the 1st generation Snapdragon processor.

No, that part is fine. The confusion is coming from this part of your question:

You're asking if the msm8655 is the same thing as the msm8655. LOL.

Are you trying to ask the difference between the msm7x30 and msm8x55?
