Help [Q] Quick Question About formatting sdcard

So I have backed up all my files on my sdcard (micro) to my laptop. If I format it in my phone will it mess anything up? Also I have a 8GB.

I have always used the computer to format, although i recently had a pretty bad issue with the card while formatting, it was fixable thankfully. Anyway sandisk says you shouldnt format from the phone, but i dont see a reason not to...

Format on phone is best way to go... (ensures correct format of card)

I formatted it using my phone on CM7 Reloaded and it didnt format correctly so I have to format it on my labtop.
