Q3 Release for Canada and US to follow.

Ran into a couple of article today about this. Not sure how reliable the main source is that provided the information in the first place (Samsung Galaxy S II not coming til Q3 | Android Community)

But if that's true, I'll be getting a Bionic since it'll be out sooner and hopefully before tiered pricing.

Sad face.

Don't buy the Bionic.

It will have the Ram and half the total storage space and less powerful processors.

Additionally Motorola is not great at updating their phones either AND locks the Bootloader so you cannot run CM7 on it (which gets updates almost as fast as Google puts them out)

If you are upset about tiered pricing jump to Sprint when the S2 is released. Cause if this is True then Sprint will also have the S2 (sprint has no throttling either)

The US carriers are a joke. If the SGSII doesn't hit until late Q3 or early Q4, they better price it like they're late to the party.

That's just one source and it's about Canada. I don't think there is any correlation between Canadian release and U.S release one way or the other. Given that it's launching Europe and Korea on late this month and early May, I still bet that at least GSM versions will hit U.S by the end of Q2. No way that it can slip to Q4.

If it's faster than every other phone being released which it appears to be then I don't see why they should lower the price.

Because at that point it will probably no longer have that title, or if it does it'll have much more competition :/

Even in Q3, I don't think there will be any better android phone unless someone comes out first with quad core phone (doubtful).

The only realistic threat to the S2 is the iphone 5 which thanks to the white 4 has now been dumped to a Q4 release at least.

Weaksauce, I was planning on getting this over the Evo 3D. :(

I guess giving up a bit of power for a phone that's still impressive won't hurt..

Disclaimer: Rumor only,

Yet its one of my best sources who told me minutes ago, the latest buzz is a late May release for the USA.

Samsung is very eager to release it here.

A source? Can you elaborate? You don't have to give me a/s/l, just maybe the company name and the general level in the corporate hierarchy?
