Help QC quick charge s6

Hi all. My s6 running 5.1.1 is now not showing "fast charge" icon when plugged in to the QC fast charger and lead supplied. It used to give a notice "fast charge" now it just says "cable charge". Tried new leads and new cables.....no joy.

As for those saying it only gives the fast charge icon when the screen is off.......how can you see an icon when the screen is off???? Plus my phone used to show the icon when the screen was on and in use.

There is a reduction in charging speed since this issue began. It seems as of a few people have had this issue since the latest update.

QC only on screen off - came up with one of our members asking one of the charger manufacturers what's up with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, and was given the answer that it's part of the spec.

Not sure if it applies to the Samsung-proprietary quick charge or not.

We're the other cables you tried, specific Samsung fast charge cables (if those exist)?
Or at least Samsung (if they don't)?
Samsung tend to wire their cables differently from others

Tred other original cables and other chargers to. I deffinately used to get a quick charge icon even when the screen was on whilst charging. Either in the car or in a wall socket. Now I just get cable charging. Also the charging rate has dramatically slowed.

My service provider has agreed to give me a new handset. So we will see what happens from here.

Browsing the forums it seems as though a few have has this issue. My service provider told me that they are aware of the issue since the update!
