QI WIRELESS CHARGING Possible?

Since some phones are able to have QI wireless charging added via QI receiver/pad,such as this:

I was hoping this would be possible w/the MOTO G,however,I use the above pad w/the LG G2 succcessfully,but no such luck w/the MOTO G.

Anyone out there have any success w/this?

Does the G have a Qi receiver, or is it just capable of having one installed? Qi-compatible doesn't necessarily say that the receiver is included.

The MOTO G doesn't come w/QI hardware installed,hence the adapter/pad,which plugs-in to the USB Port & in turn,charges the battery,when placed on a QI Charger.

I actually installed the abovementioned pad/adapter underneath the cover plate & attempted to charge wirelessly w/no success.

Was just holding out hope that it is perhaps just this one particular pad that doesn't work w/the MOTO G & someone else may have had success w/another pad/adapter.

I've got 2 more charging coils on the way from e-Bay,same as what some in the above link have had success with:

Looks like root may be necessary to enable wireless charging.
