Help Qik video chat cross-platform

[shmn]

I am wanting to video chat with my sister who has an iPhone (one of the newer ones...not sure which exactly) and since Skype is a no-go on Sprint, I thought I would try the pre-installed Qik application. She downloaded the version for her phone and I tried to video chat with her but she got an error saying the versions of Qik are not compatible.

According to what I've read about Qik, it should work cross platform. Has anyone had any success with this program? How about cross-platform? Any other options for cross-platform video chat?

Well, just found this: Incompatibility between iPhone and Android Video Chat : Qik Help and Support Center

I guess Qik is working on the problem. Any other programs work cross-platform?
