Help Qik

So I tried using Qik for the first time with my gf today but the volume was really low on both ends. I could barely hear my gf and she could barely hear me. We both have the most updated versions of Qik on our EVOs. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that was the first thing I checked. Does the Qik video call automatically default to the speaker and not earpiece?

Ya I think so. Though if you have the auxiliary audio cable plugged in playing mp3's it will come over the radio. I know that much from experience.

I looked around Qik and didn't see any type of volume settings besides the side buttons. Do you know if there are any settings within the program?

Hello, I am new to the evo but a friend told me to download Tango / its free @ the market for video conferencing and it works well with good volume also anyone of your contacts that has this app . will be automatically recognized by your phone. My wife @ I tried it last night ,works nice. Maybe you could help me figure out how to play videos I transfered from the EVO to my PC, it has a different extention and windows media player or Real wont play it back, thanks.

There is a program called v player beta in the marketplace I use it to view the movies I have downloaded. it's a good app

I had that volume issue with Qik as well at first. After searching for a work around, I found that the market has a Qik app for the Evo. I downloaded thinking that I would propably have 2 different Qik apps but what it did was actually update the app that originally comes with the phone. After doing that, it worked flawlessly. Give that a try.

The cool thing about Tango is that you're able to use it with not only people with the Evo but also iPhone4 users and pretty much any other android phone with dual cameras. I tested it with the iOS4 and the new MyTouch 4G.

Try a free video player called RockPlayer. I have several movies in my EVO and I can play all of them without any conversion. Im not sure what types of files RockPlayer can play but it's so much easier than doing all that conversion to play those video files. Im pretty sure my movies are .AVI files...but I think RockPlayer can play other types of files.
