Help qpst

I have no data on my HTC EVO that was flashed to Boost. I downloaded
QPST to try to fix the phone. I read in some posts that if you had QPST you can go to the profiles 0 and profile 1 to fix the issue but after I downloaded QPST and tried to read the phone it said....
Another application has already locked this phone. You cannot write to the phone until the other application releases its lock.....
Can you please help me

first off, please be careful when going into qpst. make sure you write down any information that is already on the phone (nam/data tabs, etc..)
next, make sure qpst is reading your phone on the correct port (that's what it sounds like is wrong here.) are you with me? if not, you might want to hold off on this for just a moment until you read a couple guides. you can do serious damage to your phone if you make a mistake. let me know if you understand what i'm talking about so far.
