How To QR Code Reader?

OK, i am familiar with these and know what they are, but I want to ask how others are using the droid to read these.

First, I cant get a clear enough picture with the camera for it to be visible. Any help here with camera settings? Seems to not really take very clear pix in any case for that matter.

Second, is there a native app on the droid which reads it or is there an app I need to get?

Are you using the App "Barcode Scanner" ?

I havent tried any app actually, will that one work?

It works well for me. The thing is you need pretty good lighting.

If the AF is failing try moving further away, the barcode doesn't need to fill the entire screen for it to work. I have a feeling the camera fix on Dec 11th might make this better.

I have this app. It worked fine until I loaded the app: My Fitness Pal. Now neither bar code scanners work and it locks up my phone. Any suggestions?

Which app is it that you have? Barcode scanner or Google goggles? And are you actually using a Motorola A855 (Droid 1) phone?
