Quadrant test, consistantly getting 3900

People claim Skyrocket is slower tha OGS2. 1st day, i was getting 2200/2300 so i believed it. Tonight, i ran 6 tests and was consistantly getting 3900. Is something wrong here?

Same here. Around 3400 which is about what I got w my ogs2. And this is unrooted and not overclocked:p

People are making such a huge deal about not having the Exynos chip, but in real life day to day use, this phone seems just as fast

I would definitely have to agree with that.

I can't compare it to the older SG2, but i can compare it to the iphone 4, and this thing blows it out of the water.

in fact, the only way to describe this thing is to say its just f*cking fast!

I overclocked my stock Galaxy S II international version to 1.452Ghz just to see how it would compare to the 1.5Ghz Skyrocket......

I was at an AT&T store yesterday and ran 3 quadrant tests on both the Vivid and Skyrocket side by side. I rebooted each device and then ran the tests consecutively.

I didn't go in and turn off any other running demo apps though. Both had them running.

Vivid averaged 2018
Skyrocket 3121

This was Quadrant Standard Edition (free version)

Wow that Vivid should be doing better th an that.
I'd have purchased it if it weren't so heavy. I like phones that are as light as possible.
Btw I got 3500+ on my first try with quadrant. It's not consistent though. I'm sure it depends on how hot the phone is and how many apps are running and various other things.

The cpu in the Skyrocket is the MSM8660 and not APQ8060. Also I believe that the APQ8060 is whats in the T-mobile Samsung GS2. Our Skyrocket has a better cpu.

not to doubt you, but do you have a website with specs to prove? cuz i've heard that the processor is inferior from many people even though my experience with my skyrocket has been anything but awesome. especially since trading in my sgsii for it.

I had the SGS2 and traded it in for the skyrocket- all this "which processor is faster /better/superior" talk is for the birds. The phone is just as fast- and you now get to enjoy LTE. Let's not worry about nano second response times and just enjoy its crazy "fastness" :-)
