Quality powerful Laptop? (must have within a day or two)

i probably shouldn't post this but i decided to stick with the mbp

i liked having a different os around to test apps on. (meaning desktop components to apps). And to have something more unix like for managing servers.

lmfao - I reserved judgment b/c, when all is said and done, MBPs are sexy, sexy beasts. And I'm a huge Win 7 fan, too.

I just don't care for Apple fanbois. If they were to disappear, I'd advocate Apple's as much as regular PCs.

I have to agree with that. I like a lot of things about apple products. The people are not one of them. I feel they have to justify their purchase, so they become pretentious.

Great choice! I sold that HP laptop I recommended to you and bought last years 15 inch MBP off some guy on Craigslist. Got a steal too. Its the i5 but he had it upgraded to 8GB of RAM and upgraded the hard drive to a 500GB 7200. Got it for $1k After using Lion, Windows 7 just seemed like a very dumbed down OS written by an 8 year old that hogged up memory. Just the multi gesture swiping in Lion is well worth the upgrade let alone mission control and the other goodies.
