Quandrant, IO Writes and Lag

I really like my Captivate but this minor lag issue seems to be holding back a phenomenal piece of tech. I can watch videos of other phones (including phones older than this one) get through the I/O portion of Quandrant much faster than my phone.

• Do we know why the Captivate is slow on this portion of the test?

• Is there a reliable fix, and/or do we expect 2.2 to take care of this?

This one worked perfectly for me. First time I ran quadrant after that, I got a score of 2177.

I wouldn't suggest doing the lag fix. I did the one click fix and screwed up wifi somehow and had to flash the stock rom. You shouldn't have to root and void your warranty to fix an issue that the phone shouldn't have came with. From what I'm hearing tho, the test build version of froyo on the galaxy s is very fast and has no lag issues so all we can do is wait a couple months. Until then, there isn't much u can do. Task killers can speed up overall performance but not specifically the lag.
