I received a Quantaray touch pad for Christmas, but I'm really struggling to make it do much useful. The alleged "users guide" is hardly any help at all.
1. It looks like its software level (firmware level) is 2.1-update1 - is this down level from the latest?
2. If it is, where could I get an Android OS update from? The "users guide" says to go to www.CBS.com/androidtool/... for upgrade tools and files, but these links all end up on a CBS (TV network) page not found page.
3. Where does one purchase apps? Reading this this forum and others implies that it's easy, easy, easy. The "users guide" says applications can be installed by loading an apk file from a mini-sd card or USB drive. I found multiple web sites that advertised android apps, listing prices and even fairly detailed descriptions, but no actual opportunity to purchase or download anything! Jeez! It can't be this hard!! I have to be missing some basic concept or piece of information. If I'm not, then this sucker is headed to the gift return counter.
