Root Query on how easy to switch between custom ROM's

I have recently installed CM7 RC4 on my device and since then I have wondered how easy is it to switch to another ROM, will mybackup pro or Titanium backup restore all?

I know they can restore data but what about system settings (home screens, etc.), or do I have to go through the whole setup email and homescreens and system settings again, etc. ?

They can restore settings yes, although I persoanally don't have much experience of using either in that way.

I do know however, that you need to be careful when restoring your settings. Occasionally the settings backed up on one ROM may not be compatible with the new ROM, leading to stability issues.
