Help Question about 2.2

My friend's phone just got updated to 2.2 and she doesn't like it for some reason. Is there anyway to get it back to 2.1 without rooting and loading a custom ROM?

I haven't really messed around with the phone very much so I don't know a lot about it. I started with the Eris and moved up to the Droid 2 and those are pretty much the only phones I have any experience with.

You will have to root it to flas the ROM image back to 2.1 -- i'm looking for a stock ROM (the verizon version) for 2.1 so I can get the OTA update. I'll link you up if I find a copy.
