question about 4g tmobile

i got the nexus s within the first month of it coming out and i feel dumb having to ask this but if i start getting 4g service from tmobile will i be able to utilize the speed on my nexus s? and can i tether/make a wifi hotspot for free? i read an article about tmobile's 4g being amazing

If T-Mobile's 4G coverage comes to your area, it'll potentially improve your Nexus S' 3G speed. You won't get the 4G speeds, but you should be able to max out the 7.2Mbps 3G network (getting you around 5Mbps real world speeds).
