Help Question about Android performance

I just got a Archos 70 Internet Tablet. It has 250 megs of memory. I recently installed Mmory Booster Lite. I don't have any apps other than the default one's that Android loads and it says I'm using 182 megs of my resources. Is this really how android works because performance is NOT what I expected.

Are there any tips for enhancing the performance of a android tablet??

Thank you!

I don't know if the 70 is the same as the 101, but you can overclock the
processor and gain some improvement in performance. Under Settings, About
device, Power management, you can select Overdrive, Optimal, and
Powersave. Overdrive increases the clock rate to the processor at the
expense of battery life. I selected it on my 101 and saw a noticeable
increase in performance.
