Root Question about backup/restore

Vance

I am using Mybackup Pro (switching from Titanium Pro, although I still have that as well), and system settings is one of the options to check off for back up. I know that when I flash a new ROM I do not restore system settings, so should I be backing that up? When I go to restore, will it give me the option what to restore so that I can uncheck system settings?

It should give you the option to uncheck system settings upon restore, but if you don't really intend to restore them, why back them up? I know I did it just like you the first few times using MBP, I also used to always select the ".apk's and data" option as well when backing up apps, even though I really only selected ".apk only" upon restore, so now that's all I backup as well when I backup my apps. As far as data, I backup call logs, bookmarks (not even sure this is needed), sms, and mms.

hope that helps.

Great, thanks! I had a bit of a problem when I accidentally restored system data using Titanium and don't want to do that again!
