Root Question about backups

Ok installed the MANU 1.4 Kernel - what do I need to tweak specifically? Change the min freq to 128Mhz in CPU Settings? (Max is listed as 998 MHZ) Governor is ONDEMAND

Powersave mode is OFF, screenstate scaling is OFF
Set on boot is OFF
:)

I also installed battery monitor widget to see if it offers any insights over the next couple of days..

<edit> Another question about the default email client on this ROM - I have it linked to my hotmail account polling every 15mins. Is there a way to limit the size and choose how much of an email to download. Or is this not an option for this app?

Sorry, I dont use the default email client. Im sure you can alter the polling time but I remove the apk so cant look at the settings.

By the way, you want set on boot set to "on" ;)

Thanks again.

Quick question about the dialer. When I start to type someones name using the keypad numbers, the contacts would appear and I could just tap on the name to ring them.

This dialer doesnt seem to do that - there is no quick way to call someone. Unless I'm missing something?

Still unsatisfied with battery life and convinced it was better on my Froyo Rom, I decided yesterday to restore my nandroid backup which was the following ROM:

LeeDroid 2.3d (Froyo Sense rom).

I charged overnight as usual, and today I have been purposefully playing with the phone all day (FB, emails, browser, some G+ and even had co pilot going for a minute).

After 5 hours off the charge my battery is 60% with the Froyo leedroid 2.3d ROM..
Yesterday, on the Redux 1.2 GingerBread based ROM after 5 hours off the charge my battery was 50%.

All the data/syc/brightness etc settings were the same on both ROMS where possible.

I know this is hardly conclusive but its worth looking at.

Anyway to test both ROMs and determine for sure? Anyone wish to try?

I think you came accross an oddity. Shame you didnt get any meaningful stats to be honest. Nothing to look at from my perspective. AOSP roms are far better than sense in my experience and Redux is the best of AOSP roms too (for battery life).
