Question about BB pre-order

CMotoboy

Lurker
i pre-ordered my incredible on the 20th at BB mobile. I gave the guy 50$ and he gave me a gift card, but the other lady working there told him that they were to keep the gift card for what ever reason and i had to give the gift card back. From many other post it seems that they your supposed to keep the gift card and bring it in along with your receipt, so any suggestions on what i should do?

You definitely should have kept the giftcard. I'd call the store ASAP and provide your receipt details, which should have the giftcard account number on it. A receipt is no good if you don't have the actual giftcard - the giftcard holds the monetary value afterall.

You bought the giftcard, with the intent of using it to buy the phone. You own it.

Seems like you went to a very shady BB.

I received mine and was told to hold on to it - they may just be doing it so that you don't flake out on the cell phone purchase.

Go pick it up if I were you.

I went to preorder at my BB today and they gave me the $50 gift card with the receipt. That's it.

thanks guys, i called and worked everything out. Oh another question if u pre-order from best buy does it still come with 2gb sd card?

It sounds like a few people have called and asked about this, and they were informed that BestBuy will throw in the 2GB card at the time of the purchase. I'd imagine that this is left up to the discretion of the sales rep, so you're probably better off calling and confirming. A 2GB card is extremely cheap at cost, so I can't imagine Best Buy would throw a fit about throwing one in (especially after they kidnapped your giftcard  ).
