Question about device encrytion and data share

What if android device is encrypted using system settings. Would apps be able to access other apps data within the encrypted device?

For example some misc app runs a code to fetch whatsapp database from whatsapp folder and then upload that data on web server. Would it be able to read the data on a different remote computer?

As far as I know, apps shouldn't be able to access data from other apps whether or not the device is encrypted.

Android apps are sandboxed which isolates app data and code execution from other apps.

P.S. I'm moving this to the Android Lounge where it'll most likely get a better discussion.

Yes, they are sandboxed. They can look at your phone info tho like if your in a call and what device you have, location, ect.

Xprivacy is a good module fo xposed fraimwork.

Android apps are apk files
They stay in this apk file when installed and opporate within it. Or with their folder on sd card.

Apk files are just zip files that are store only, changed to apk.

The discussion is not really about encryption ... it is about root-ing.

The whole reason for rooting is to defeat the barrier between apps. This is also what gets E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E in trouble. Make a change that you are not aware that you made.

Converting back from encrypted to not encrypted is a nightmare. If you are not in the intelligence world ... think twice (or three times) before doing it.
